Building on the co-operation between the Police and Private Security during the Olympics, the London Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) launched its Business Crime Strategy in July 2014. The strategy calls for improved collaboration between law enforcement and business, which asks business to work better with the police through private security initiatives.
The Police and Security Group Initiative (PaS) was launched on 1st December 2014 and aims to build upon existing successful partnerships for mutual benefit through a number of pilots. At the project’s launch event, held at City Hall, London, on 1st December 2014, the importance of partnerships between businesses, the police and private security providers were explored through a number of existing success stories.
