Launch of #NAHS19 Awards

Please take the time to review the categories, vote and make your voice heard.  This year we want to recognise the excellent, committed and outstanding staff who work to keep our Healthcare environment, staff and patients safe.
The Award categories this year are as follows:

  • Healthcare Security Executive / Security Management Director or Non-Exec Director

Please complete your nomination and return it in PDF format by email to marking your email NAHS19 Award nomination.  Please note that we welcome any supporting information or documents but would like to stress that they should not contain patient data and as such should be redacted prior to submission.
The deadline for submission of all nominations will be 1200 hours on the 23rd September 2019.   Any nominations received after this time will not be considered.

Last year’s #NAHS18 awards were a resounding success and allowed us to recognise and showcase the exceptional and outstanding work delivered on a daily basis by our members and their supporting teams and suppliers.

#NAHS19 Annual Conference and Awards

#NAHS19, our Annual Conference and Awards will take place on Thursday 14th November 2019at The Studio Birmingham. Tickets for the event are available on Eventbrite and are available here for £25.00.

Our Conference main sponsors are Panasonic and Multitone with International Security Expo sponsoring the networking drinks reception.

Our speakers include Guy Mathas, Chair of the Security Commonwealth and Ian Todd, CEO of the SIA.

We are really pleased to announce that Carlisle, Noonan, G4S and Corps Security have confirmed their attendance as exhibitors.  Look out for more details of the agenda and links to our exhibitor websites in our forthcoming newsletter editions.

Our Event Organisers, AllSecurityEventsare happy to discuss opportunities for exhibitors and would welcome members signposting potential exhibitors to make contactwith them.

Ian Todd

The Security Industry Authority (SiA)
Ian joined the SIA from the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) where he was Deputy Director General. This builds on a number of board level roles in professional regulation, including the health and legal sectors.

He has also spent time in central government, including the Cabinet Office. Ian has extensive experience of dealing with the public in a frontline role as his first career was with the NHS ambulance services. Throughout his near 15 years he was a qualified paramedic and held a number of roles to Director level, including as part of the Gold command team during 7/7.

Guy is a leading security and risk expert with a long-standing background in commitment to organisations supporting the private and corporate sector, notably in chairing the Pharmaceutical Industry Security Forum and the Security Institute Validation Board.
He is also a former Board director (Strategy) of the Security Institute and long-standing member of ASIS and the Risk & Security Management Forum
At present Guy also chairs the Food & Drink Security Association and the Cross-sector Safety & Security Communications for the Eastern Region.

We can also confirm the following speakers and organisations will be presenting to the Conference.

  • West Midlands Police Cyber Crime Unit

We are also planning an interactive session and discussion workshop which is currently being developed.  More news to follow in a future newsletter.
