International Security Officers Day

The BSIA has recently launched, in partnership with the Security Commonwealth and the Security Institute, the Hidden Workforce – resetting the perceptions of the security officer campaign, which has gained some incredible traction within the industry in both the United Kingdom and now, also overseas.

The BSIA has been working with counterparts in both the United States and Australia regarding the International Security Officers’ Day (ISOD), which takes place today (24 July). This day recognises the outstanding work of the security officer worldwide, in both Europe, the US and Asia, and therefore is a significant day in the industry calendar.  NAHS is extremely pleased and proud to be associated with and supporting the recognition of all Security Officers but in particular our outstanding Healthcare Security professionals.

To mark this day the BSIA, along with the Security Institute and the Security Commonwealth, will be promoting the recognition day on social media, as well as creating a short podcast recognising and celebrating the work of our members and the wider industry. They have also uploaded content from the International Security Officers’ Day website to the BSIA’s hidden workforce page, and we will be posting about these on social media.

The NAHS Team want to take this opportunity to thank each and every Security Officer working to keep our Healthcare environments, Hospitals, Clinics, Mental Health Units and of course the staff and patients safe and secure 24 hours a day.  You have all stepped up and have made a real difference, especially during this pandemic.
